Counselling

What is Counselling?
Counselling is a form of practical psychological professional help where the focus lies on insight, personal development and applying your own strengths. By becoming aware of your ability to change and grow, you increase your self-confidence and develop tools which will help you to address any problems you may encounter in the future.

Who can benefit from counselling?
  • Anyone who feels stuck; this can relate to, among other things, the work situation, personal circumstances or inexplicable physical complaints.
  • When you feel that you can no longer work out a problem by yourself, that you cannot see the wood for the trees.
  • Other reasons which may affect your life circumstances in a negative manner and which you want to learn to cope with are:
  • alcohol, medicine or drug abuse by a loved one, no job satisfaction, restlessness, being overstrained, feeling burn-out or having communication problems, etc.
What is the procedure?

You can make an appointment for a session at my practice. During this session you can discuss your problem with me. If we both feel that I am the right person to help you we will then make a subsequent appointment. It is not necessary to obtain a referral (verwijsbrief) from your GP to make an appointment with me.

How long is a session and what are the costs?

The session lasts one hour and costs € 95,-. A number of insurers (partly) reimburse the cost of the sessions. Please inquire with your insurance agency.
